I place a high importance on parent-teacher communication. My job is to make sure your child has the most productive year possible, and I feel I can only accomplish this by having a strong connection between home and school. Please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email by using my contact information located below. There is no question that is too small or no problem that is too big that we cannot solve together. I will send home a weekly newsletter every Monday called Fridge Facts to inform you of what we are learning for the week and any other important information and dates. This newsletter will always be printed on colored paper and found in your child’s red take home folder.
Your child’s red folder should be sent to school daily and is the place to put lunch money, permission slips, and notes because I will check these as part of our morning routine. I will use these red folders to send home any papers that I do not take for a grade along with any informational papers. Additionally, your child’s graded schoolwork and any additional practice work will come home on MOST Tuesdays in a blue folder. Please take the graded papers, sign the front, and return it on Wednesday.

Welcome to Room 306
First grade students will be receiving homework in order to reinforce skills being taught in the classroom. A homework packet will be sent home on Mondays to be completed as your schedule allows and turned in on Fridays. If a student is missing homework for three consecutive weeks, I will contact home to see if there is anything I can do to help. I appreciate your support in teaching students the importance of being a responsible first grader.
